SVS Night at Parkside, Stinson Beach, CA
We partnered with our friends Maxine and John Gilbert for our fifth-annual summer dinner at Parkside Cafe in Stinson Beach. Maxine composed a long table for SVS members to enjoy the local fare, including Hog Island Sweetwater oysters and halibut with summer succotash, while John performed with his jazz band as the sun set.
Hacienda Chef in Residence with Ari Kolender of Found Oyster, Sonoma, CA
Chef Ari Kolender, of L.A.’s Found Oyster, joined us as the chef in residence at the Hacienda all week, pairing his menu of East Coast summertime seafood favorites, including smoked trout dip and tomatoes with bottarga, with the wines of the SVS summer release.
SVS Hacienda Dinner with Found Oyster, Sonoma, CA
Chef Ari Kolender’s week culminated in a special SVS dinner in the Hacienda courtyard. Members enjoyed fresh oysters and Estate Sparkling Pinot Noir at the base of the Hacienda steps, before sitting down to a family style dinner that featured highlights from his recently released cookbook, How to Cook the Finest Things in the Sea.
Hacienda Chef in Residence with Diana Yen, Sonoma, CA
We welcomed Diana Yen to the Hacienda to celebrate the release of her first cookbook, Firepit Feast. Diana and Kelly collaborated on a bevy of dishes for the Hacienda Tasting, such as the grilled stonefruit with tomatoes and stracciatella, that highlighted the week’s picks from the SCRIBE garden.
SVS Night at Rory’s Place, Ojai, CA
Kelly brought the wines of the SVS summer release down to Ojai to pair with favorites from Rory’s Place. Guests sipped White Pressed Pinot Noir alongside bountiful seafood towers, and Estate Pinot Noir paired with wood-fired summer vegetables and roasted half chicken. A perfect final stop for our summer SVS events!
