Hacienda Chef in Residence with Bar Siesta, Sonoma, CA
Our friends Heather and Keith traveled up from LA to kick off the SVS Spring Release celebration, collaborating with the Hacienda team on a tasting menu influenced by the Spanish flavors of their new restaurant, Bar Siesta. Highlights included the Little gems salad with snap peas, fennel and pimentón vinaigrette and their own line of Siesta Co anchovies.
SVS Hacienda Dinner with Bar Siesta, Sonoma, CA
The Chefs in Residence week culminated in a special Hacienda Courtyard dinner. SVS members were greeted with a preview of the SCRIBE Summer Vermouth, and a surprise live flamenco performance as the sun set in front of the Hacienda, before finding their way to large communal tables in the courtyard adorned with Bar Siesta-inspired awning striped tablecloths and a family style menu including lamb roasted over an open fire.
SVS Night at Demo, New York, NY
We kicked off our week in New York at the acclaimed West Village wine bar and restaurant, Demo. The team paired their elevated neighborhood fare with the wines of the spring release, while Andrew mingled with old and new friends of the SVS.
SVS Night at Cariñito, New York, NY
Mexico City’s beloved (and Michelin recognized!) taqueria, Cariñito, heralded their six month pop-up in Greenwich Village with a two day SCRIBE wine take-over. We paired their inventive CDMX meets Southeast Asian tacos with spring release wines, including the 2024 Estate Sylvaner, enjoyed at the casual tables that spill out onto University Place.
SVS Night at Borgo, New York, NY
We reunited with our friend, famed restaurateur, Andrew Tarlow, to toast the opening of his first Manhattan-based location, Borgo. SVS members enjoyed wines of the spring release paired with Borgo’s seasonal wood-fired Italian fare, and their names artfully written on the paper tablecloths by Andrew Tarlow himself.
SVS Weekend at White Barn Inn, Kennebunk, ME
Andrew traveled to the White Barn Inn, bringing SCRIBE to the shores of Maine for the first time! Guests dined at the historic Little Barn, tasting wines of the spring release paired with coastal New England specialties. He also hosted a special tasting of single vineyard Pinot Noirs, sharing the unique qualities of the vineyards we work with throughout Sonoma Valley, as well as our two Estate-grown Pinot Noirs.
SVS Night at Franciska, Portland, ME
We capped off our spring tour with dinner at Franciska in Portland. The Argentine-influenced menu of fresh locally caught Maine seafood was enhanced by side-by-side pairings of SCRIBE spring releases in their intimate 20-seat wine bar.
